Creating healthier digital habits is not only about reducing screen time—it is about creating meaningful alternatives.
With this vision, World Digital Detox Day (WDDD) partnered with Dada Patil College, Karjat, Maharashtra, to launch "Reading Resolution", a year-long initiative that encourages students to cultivate the habit of daily reading while promoting Digital Wellness.

Led under the guidance of Principal Dr. Sanjay Nagarkar, the programme encourages students to explore the lives and ideas of inspiring national and global leaders through books, followed by interactive discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and recognition for active participation.

The initiative aims to help students:
Develop a lifelong reading habit.
Reduce unnecessary mobile phone usage.
Strengthen communication and public speaking skills.
Build critical thinking and reflective learning.
Draw inspiration from the lives and values of great leaders.

Rather than viewing Digital Detox as the absence of technology, this initiative demonstrates that lasting change comes from replacing passive screen consumption with meaningful learning and human development.
The programme has also received recognition through regional media coverage, highlighting its innovative approach to Digital Wellness in education.
World Digital Detox Day believes this model can inspire educational institutions around the world. Schools, colleges, universities, and libraries can play a transformative role by integrating reading, reflection, and mindful technology practices into everyday campus life.
Digital Wellness is not created by one event. It is built through daily habits.
We invite institutions across the globe to join the World Digital Detox Day movement and create their own initiatives that help young people build healthier relationships with technology.
Celebrate World Digital Detox Day on 10 December. Practise Digital Wellness every single day.
